Essential Properties Realty Trust Announces Executive Appointments and Promotions

Princeton, N.J., September 9, 2026 - Essential Properties Realty Trust, Inc. (NYSE: EPRT) has announced a series of executive officer changes, promoting from within and bringing in fresh faces to guide its next phase of growth. The real estate investment trust, which focuses on sale-leaseback properties, said the moves are part of a planned succession and leadership development strategy.

Among the key changes, the company has promoted its current Chief Operating Officer to the role of President, a position that had been vacant. This executive, who has been with EPRT for over eight years, will now oversee day-to-day operations across all departments. In a separate move, the firm named a new Chief Financial Officer, tapping an external candidate with deep experience in net-lease real estate and capital markets. The previous CFO will transition to a senior advisory role for the next six months to ensure a smooth handover.

EPRT elevated two of its vice presidents to senior vice president roles. One will head up the acquisitions team, while the other will lead portfolio management and asset services. The company also created a new position, Chief Administrative Officer, filled by its current general counsel. This role will absorb human resources and information technology functions.

The leadership team changes come as EPRT continues to expand its portfolio, which currently spans over 1,900 properties across 40 states. The company targets service-oriented businesses like car washes, restaurants, and medical clinics. Executives say the new structure will better position the firm to handle its growing pipeline of transactions and maintain its reputation for quick, reliable closings. All appointments are effective immediately.
