FBI Accuses Sacramento Man of Posing as Swiss Investor and NFL Player in Fraud Scheme

FBI Accuses Sacramento Man of Posing as Swiss Investor and NFL Player in Fraud Scheme

A Sacramento County man faces federal accusations that he invented a wealthy European identity and a professional football career to win the trust of women he later defrauded. Daejon Labrayae Love, 35, was named by the FBI in connection with the scheme, which authorities say stretched across multiple states.

According to investigators, Love told several women that his family ranked among the wealthiest in Switzerland. He also claimed to be a player for the San Francisco 49ers, using the story to build credibility and create an image of success. The FBI says those claims were false.

Prosecutors allege the deception went beyond simple lies about his background. Authorities believe Love used the fabricated persona to gain access to money and valuables, leaving victims with financial losses and broken trust. The case highlights how easily false claims about wealth and fame can be used to manipulate people, especially when they are backed by convincing details and confidence.

The FBI is asking anyone who may have had contact with Love or who believes they were targeted by a similar scheme to come forward. Investigators have not released the full number of alleged victims or the total amount of money involved.

Love has not yet entered a public response to the accusations. The investigation remains active, and federal authorities say additional charges could follow as they continue to review the evidence and interview witnesses.
